Letter to the Editor: Vote for experience come November

Republican candidate Madison Cawthorn’s only known work experience is in a fast food chicken chain; he dropped out of Patrick Henry College after one semester. He has stated that colleges are liberal “indoctrination camps.” Cawthorn supposes himself to be a modern-day Thomas Jefferson but lacks any of the education or experience that Jefferson felt was paramount to those who “administer the affairs of our country.” In July, Cawthorn visited Texas to promote a debunked sex trafficking conspiracy, and is a personal friend of Charlie Kirk who has made a career of spreading conservative conspiracies and disinformation.

Democratic candidate Moe Davis is a retired Air Force Colonel, was a Director of the Air Force Judiciary and former Chief Prosecutor at Guantanamo Bay. He has been a law professor at Howard University, a judge with the Dept. of Labor, a speaker, a writer, and a national security expert for Congress. Jefferson state, “If the condition of man is to be progressively ameliorated,  . . . education is to be the chief instrument of effecting it.”

Vote for education and experience. Vote for Moe Davis, Democrat for NC 11th Congressional District Representative.
