Statement from Moe Davis on the death of Deputy Sheriff Ryan Hendrix

“Today in Henderson County, Deputy Sheriff Ryan Hendrix lost his life in the line of duty.
“We want to remember Deputy Hendrix and his family. He had two children that are left behind. He was a Marine Corps veteran. It’s a reminder that folks that are serving in law enforcement are members of our community, our friends and our neighbors and our community members. It’s a dangerous job and it’s a job that doesn’t pay a lot. Folks aren’t getting rich serving in law enforcement.
“Even in death, he continues to give. He was an organ donor. I know the grief that his family feels is intense. But hopefully, there’s some measure of comfort in knowing that others are going to be better because of the decision he made to be an organ donor.
“Again, remember Deputy Hendrix and his family and the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department. It’s always sad when you lose someone who is part of the community.”
From the entire Moe Davis for Congress Campaign, we extend our deepest condolences.
