Veteran asks voters to thoroughly research candidates

Imagine yourself on track following your dream of becoming an astronaut. I was doing what I really liked to do. Flying jets off aircraft carriers.

A rush for sure, but also challenging in many unexpected ways. In the Spring of 1973, I was asked to fly a mission in response to one of our C-130 spy aircraft being “jumped” by 2 Libyan Migs in the Gulf of Sidra (an airspace claimed by the Libyans.)

The C-130 returned to its spy base in Israel unharmed.
