“I really believe that the deadliness and the terribleness of this virus has been way overblown. … At the end of the day, it’s no worse than the seasonal flu.” —Madison Cawthorn, May 8, 2020.
The death toll from COVID-19 has now reached 200,000 Americans. And still counting.
It didn’t have to be this way.
Too many people have dismissed the danger of this global pandemic. Too many have allowed COVID-19 to be used to drive disinformation and division within our country, instead of working to limit the spread and loss of life.
Too many have refused to believe science, brazenly ignoring warnings and mandates.
We put our lives at risk, and the lives of our parents, children, grandchildren, co-workers and more, if we elect representatives who don’t understand or acknowledge the danger.
Remember that when you vote.
